Pedagogical Co‑Culture Lead (Contract)

About the role

Compass Early Learning & Care is seeking an Operations and Pedagogical Co‑Culture Lead to nurture a culture of presence, coaching, emotional safety, equity, and cultural awareness across its School Age programs. You will guide reflective practice and align pedagogy with the organization’s vision, values, and strategic plan.

Key responsibilities

• Support five City of Kawartha Lakes School Age programs in partnership with Co‑Operations and Co‑Pedagogical Culture Leads.
• Facilitate and participate in team meetings, and schedule focused pedagogical time with educators.
• Assist the Operations lead with payroll, billing, subsidy reconciliations, staff file maintenance, and staffing coordination.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry licensing and reporting guidelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with children, families, staff, volunteers, community partners, and school personnel.
• Promote a collaborative, research‑driven environment that deepens reflective practice and pedagogical principles.
• Support educators in using the Cycle of Inquiry and Visual Representation Protocol to make children’s learning visible.
• Observe, document, and showcase children’s competencies, ideas, and curiosities.
• Help create and sustain engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years experience in Early Childhood Education.
• Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act, licensing standards, and Compass ELC policies.
• Valid Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid & CPR Level C, and up‑to‑date immunization records.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Comfortable using technology and accessing reliable transportation to the five program sites.
