Front of House Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Front of House Operations Manager to lead daily front‑of‑house activities at Chotto Matte in Toronto. Reporting to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, you will ensure exceptional guest experiences while upholding the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all front‑of‑house operations and coordinate closely with back‑of‑house teams.
• Deliver consistent, high‑quality guest service aligned with brand standards.
• Drive service excellence through hands‑on leadership, staff training, and development.
• Monitor and improve workflows to boost efficiency and profitability.
• Collaborate with culinary, bar, and events teams for seamless service delivery.
• Maintain health, safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
• Report performance metrics, challenges, and improvements to senior management.
• Act as a brand ambassador, building strong community and guest relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of progressive hospitality and operations management experience in a high‑volume, full‑service dining environment.
• Background in upscale, high‑end or lifestyle hospitality brands.
• Deep understanding of premium guest service and luxury standards.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor diverse teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Financial acumen with experience in P&L management.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure setting.
