Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Drake Hotel is seeking a reliable Building Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities safe, clean, and fully operational. You will work across the hotel, handling routine upkeep, minor repairs, and seasonal tasks in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners.
• Empty trash, clean windows, interior walls, ceilings, and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
• Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; contact tradespeople for major issues.
• Maintain HVAC systems, paint, repair drywall, and handle appliance repairs.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment, water plants and lawns, and clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

Required profile

• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in building or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
