Maintenance Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Drake Hotel is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of its facilities, equipment, and mechanical systems. You will ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for guests and staff across all hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and control construction and renovation projects, reading blueprints to determine material requirements.
• Plan, organize, and oversee the maintenance of machinery, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement safety inspection schedules and preventive maintenance programs.
• Administer contracts for supplies and services, and manage the facilities operations budget.
• Supervise a small team (1‑2 staff), handling hiring, training, and performance oversight.
• Organize and maintain inventory of parts and equipment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel or hospitality facility maintenance.
• Experience supervising 1‑2 staff members.
• Ability to read blueprints and assess client needs for equipment and services.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
• Experience with building system controls and equipment maintenance.
