About the role
Be in the action and help make a difference when serving our customers. Become a brand ambassador and share your passion for food with our shoppers. Our front‑end team is essential to Food Basics’ success, and you’ll work flexible days, evenings and weekends in a vibrant store environment. You’ll interact directly with customers, operate the register and keep the front area tidy.
Key responsibilities
- Serve customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Promote the Food Basics brand and share a passion for food with shoppers.
Required profile
- Customer‑service driven.
- Strong communication skills.
- Retail experience considered an asset.
- High attention to detail and basic numeracy skills.
- Basic computer and register skills an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
What we offer
- Starting hourly wage of $16.60, with potential higher rates based on experience and the collective agreement.
- Permanent part‑time position within a unionized bargaining unit.
