Financial Controller – Manufacturing

About the role

Drader Manufacturing is seeking a full‑time Controller to join its Edmonton team. You will lead all financial management activities, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and cash‑flow oversight for a diversified manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash‑flow projections.
• Supervise accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and inventory costing.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits and drive continuous improvement of financial systems.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience as a Controller or senior accountant, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet skills.
