About the role

Join Varsity Tutors' Live Learning Platform as an online Financial Accounting Tutor. You will work remotely, helping students across the country master accounting concepts and prepare for exams such as CPA.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one virtual tutoring sessions focused on financial accounting topics.
• Explain GAAP principles, accrual accounting, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Guide students through problem‑solving exercises, including trial balances, adjusting entries, and cash‑flow analysis.
• Adapt lesson plans to each student’s learning style using the platform’s AI‑powered Tutor Copilot tools.
• Track student progress and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of the accounting cycle, financial statements, and related GAAP concepts.
• Experience teaching or tutoring accounting at introductory to intermediate levels.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, friendly teaching style.
• Ability to tailor instruction to diverse learning needs.
