About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join Rundle Academy, an independent school serving students from kindergarten to grade 12, including those with diagnosed learning disabilities. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inclusive physical education programs that promote health, teamwork, and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess a comprehensive physical education curriculum aligned with the school calendar.
- Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages student participation and development of motor skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical activity with broader educational goals and the “Pathways to Teaching at Rundle” framework.
- Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities and ADHD.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Required profile
- Passion for teaching physical education and promoting student well-being.
- Commitment to Rundle’s values of Connection, Craft, and Care.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with students and staff.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
