Financial Accountant – Montreal

About the role

Perion, a global advertising technology leader, is seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join its Finance team in Montreal. You will play a pivotal role in the month‑end close process for multiple international entities while supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations and broader financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close process, including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, amortization, depreciation entries, and reconciliation of fixed‑asset and intercompany accounts.
• Perform monthly variance analysis and investigate significant fluctuations in financial results.
• Support the year‑end audit by responding to auditor requests and providing documentation.
• Prepare and file monthly VAT/GST returns, ensuring indirect‑tax compliance across foreign jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms and local service providers for foreign subsidiaries to ensure timely statutory reporting and local compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid experience with financial statements and journal entries.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• CPA designation in progress or planned (nice to have).
• Experience with NetSuite (nice to have).
• Prior exposure to a global or multinational company environment.
