Field Service Millwright – Western Canada

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for a licensed Field Service Millwright to join its Mechanical Cutting division in Western Canada. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the mechanical components of battery‑electric mining equipment, as well as commissioning new units and training customers on site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and servicing of mining equipment according to defined procedures.
• Plan and gather the correct tools and parts needed for each task.
• Conduct pre‑delivery inspections and hot commissioning of equipment at customer sites.
• Execute root‑cause analysis to resolve recurring issues.
• Provide preventive, cost‑effective repairs and suggest improvements to customers.
• Document maintenance activities, generate reports, and obtain customer authorization for invoicing.
• Collect technical feedback for the sales area when required.

Required profile

• Valid Red Seal Heavy‑Duty Mechanic/Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification.
• Experience with mechanical systems on battery‑electric mining equipment.
• Ability to travel across Western Canada and work on‑site.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to safety.
