Family Physician – Private Practice

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Physician to join our private practice clinic. The role involves delivering comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, fostering long‑term health relationships, and supporting community wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Collect medical histories from patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Examine patients to diagnose diseases, injuries, and health conditions.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, X‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations.
• Provide acute and emergency care, as well as chronic disease management.
• Offer counseling on lifestyle, preventive health, and disease management.
• Coordinate care with other medical practitioners and refer when necessary.
• Report births, deaths, and communicable diseases to public health authorities.

Required profile

• Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
• Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial medical authority.
• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) is preferred.
• Experience in primary care is an asset.
