Family Physician

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Physician to join a private practice clinic. The role involves providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and management of health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, and other health professionals.
• Examine patients to identify diseases, injuries, and overall health status.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, X‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatment plans.
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent disease.
• Provide counseling on lifestyle, wellness, and chronic disease management.
• Report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to public health authorities.
• Coordinate acute and emergency care when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) or equivalent.
• Licensure by the provincial or territorial medical authority.
