Faculty Position in Fish Ecology – PhD Required

About the role

This full‑time faculty position focuses on practical ichthyology within the Science Faculty. The successful candidate will lead undergraduate laboratory sessions and field trips, applying advanced fish‑ecology techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver laboratory exercises covering fish dissection, husbandry, ageing, and physiological assessments.
• Organise and supervise field trips to freshwater sites to evaluate population size, habitat preference, and species diversity.
• Assess and grade student work, provide feedback, and support curriculum development.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and ethical standards.

Required profile

• PhD in ecology, environmental science, or a related field with a focus on fish ecology.
• Demonstrated experience conducting field‑based fish‑ecology research.
• Experience teaching undergraduate labs is an asset.
