Faculty Lecturer (Professional) – Psychosocial Stream

About the role

The McGill University School of Physical and Occupational Therapy seeks two part‑time Faculty Lecturers (Professional) to join the psychosocial teaching stream. You will coordinate and deliver courses that blend theory and skill‑based learning for occupational therapy students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate a workload equivalent to 6 credits per term across courses such as Psychosocial Practice in OT, Applied OT Psychosocial Theory, and Community‑Based OT.
• Develop course materials, manage course websites, invite guest speakers, and ensure alignment of content with program objectives.
• Provide student support, assess assignments, and facilitate both large‑group and small‑group learning sessions.
• Participate in Occupational Therapy program meetings, serve on school, national, and international committees, and contribute to research and academic supervision.

Required profile

• Licensed Occupational Therapist eligible for OEQ licensure.
• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Relevant clinical experience in mental health or psychosocial OT practice.
