Faculty Lecturer (Professional) – Clinical Education Coordinator, Physical Therapy

About the role

The School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University is seeking a full‑time Faculty Lecturer (Professional) to serve as the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE) for its Physical Therapy program. The role involves overseeing the clinical placement component of the curriculum and ensuring high‑quality learning experiences for students.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare students for clinical placements through seminars and prerequisite verification (immunizations, First Aid/CPR).
• Organise and support 250‑300 student placements annually across four practicum courses.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with clinical sites to secure placement capacity.
• Match students to appropriate sites, ensuring program requirements are met.
• Provide ongoing support to students and clinical educators during placements.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Experience in clinical education coordination or similar academic administration.
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation science and health‑care education standards.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
