Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Level 3

About the role

The Alder Academy Early Learning Society is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3 to join our Edmonton child‑care centre. You will support children’s development through storytelling, creative activities, and daily routines while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead story‑telling, song, and craft activities that foster creativity and learning.
• Prepare snacks, arrange rooms for meals and rest, and maintain daycare equipment.
• Observe and document children’s progress, communicating insights to parents and supervisors.
• Guide children in developing eating, dressing, and toileting habits.
• Assist co‑workers with housekeeping and cooking duties and uphold licensing regulations.

Required profile

• Reliability, punctuality and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication, flexibility and good judgement.
• Team‑player attitude with a commitment to ethical values and creativity.

Required skills

• Child development supervisor certification (ECE Level 3).
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Knowledge of child‑care licensing regulations and health‑safety standards.
