Factory IT Technician - Bolton Pet Plant

About the role

Mars is hiring a Factory IT Technician for its Bolton Pet Plant in Ontario. The role delivers Factory OT/IT services to the site and acts as the first point of contact for production OT/IT systems, following global and regional standards. It sits in the site reliability team with a dotted-line report to the regional OT/IT organization.

Key responsibilities

• Cyber security: deploy remediation solutions, keep network procedures up to date (backups, patching, antivirus updates) and manage user accounts (Alero/Domain)
• Manage the IT/OT asset inventory, lifecycle and purchasing, and prepare the emergency and business continuity crisis toolkit
• Support the site's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and act as functional expert on local applications
• Implement and coordinate Factory OT/IT projects, own the site infrastructure and masterplan, and raise tickets through the global system with KPIs and dashboards
• Communicate IT/OT services to Quality, Production, Maintenance, Engineering and other teams, liaise with the OT Security team and escalate critical issues immediately
• Deliver training, guides and awareness sessions, and manage external contractors in line with safety standards and the Food Safety Policy

Required profile

• 2-year technical degree or certificate in engineering, information technology, computer science or IT/OT professional studies
• 3 years of IT and OT experience
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational, analytical, project management and technical skills; self-management against KPIs and objectives
