About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Ethnic Food Cook to join our busy restaurant in Calgary. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes that reflect the authentic flavors of Turkish cuisine while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for daily service.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies and maintain inventory records.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals for customers with dietary restrictions.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
- Train staff on proper food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
- Availability to work various shifts including morning, evening, night, on‑call, day, and weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
