Estimator – Precast Construction

About the role

Turn information into opportunity before construction begins. As an Estimator at Eagle Builders, you will convert drawings, specifications and project information into accurate cost estimates that support confident project decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Perform quantity take‑offs and prepare detailed cost estimates
• Prepare project budgets, pricing, and quotations
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather pricing and project information
• Identify potential risks, cost drivers, and value‑engineering opportunities
• Review project designs for practicality and cost‑effectiveness
• Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted within required deadlines
• Support project teams throughout the pre‑construction process
• Maintain estimating data, records, and documentation

Required profile

• Analytical, detail‑driven and organized

• Continuous learner eager to expand construction and estimating knowledge
• Team‑oriented and able to work with diverse personalities
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Available Monday‑Friday, with occasional overtime
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Comfortable working with numbers, calculations, and technical information
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Required skills

• Microsoft Word

• Microsoft Outlook
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
• Knowledge of commercial, industrial or precast concrete construction
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials and terminology
• Experience with estimating, drafting or construction software
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
