Environmental Professional – Planning, Reclamation & Remediation

About the role

H3M Environmental Ltd. is looking for an intermediate environmental professional to join its Calgary/Medicine Hat team. You will work on site assessments, reclamation and remediation projects, gaining hands‑on experience while being mentored by senior consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting environmental site assessments, remediation and reclamation activities.
• Perform field monitoring, inspections and prepare Acknowledgement of Reclamation (AOR) documentation.
• Support senior staff with data collection, analysis, interpretation and preparation of field reports.
• Help compile and file environmental permit applications.
• Maintain accurate records of field observations and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in environmental science, biology, agrology or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in environmental consulting or fieldwork (internships or volunteer work accepted).
• Strong interest in field‑based work and ability to operate in remote, challenging conditions.
• Attention to detail with solid documentation and reporting skills.
• Basic understanding of Alberta and Saskatchewan environmental regulations is an asset.
• Effective written and verbal communication and a collaborative team mindset.
