Senior Geologist – 12‑Month Limited Term

About the role

Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Geologist for a 12‑month limited‑term contract in Calgary. The role involves independently leading geological evaluations across all stages of geothermal project development and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret structural and stratigraphic features using tectonic history, surface mapping, borehole data, and geophysical surveys (2D/3D seismic, gravity, magnetics, passive seismic).
• Develop 1‑D to 3‑D geological models, assess rock physical properties, and perform thermal resource modelling.
• Conduct field sampling, organize external support, and generate risk analyses with recommendations to mitigate uncertainty.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for each project phase from pre‑screening to post‑development.
• Support business development, drilling design, and multidisciplinary risk workshops.

Required profile

• BSc in Geology or related discipline; advanced degree is an asset.
• 8+ years of professional geology experience.
• Registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with APEGA or eligible for registration.

Required skills

• Petrophysical log interpretation and core/cuttings logging.
• Geophysical survey interpretation (gravity, magnetics, magnetotellurics, seismic).
• 1D, 2D, and 3D geological modelling using Petrel, Leapfrog, SKUA or similar.
• GIS and geomechanics knowledge.
• Field sampling, mineralogical, geochemical and geomechanical laboratory analysis.
• Risk and uncertainty analysis, data management, technical writing and presentation.
