Environmental Manager

About the role

The Environmental Manager will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental quality standards for the Connect 6ix Ontario Line project. This role ensures that all construction, operations and maintenance activities comply with the Group’s QHSE guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce safety and evacuation procedures, promoting a preventive health‑and‑safety culture.
• Implement, monitor and improve the Environmental Quality Management Plan (EQMP) and Environmental Quality Standard Procedures (EQSPs).
• Develop and manage day‑to‑day EQSPs, initiating preventive actions when monitoring reveals gaps.
• Support sustainability plans and contribute to the Sustainability Annual Report.
• Review monthly environmental reports, identify non‑conformances and issue NCRs.
• Stop non‑conforming work immediately and ensure corrective actions are applied.
• Prepare and coordinate internal and external quality audits related to EQMP.
• Manage resolution of environmental non‑conformances, track trends and report EQMS performance.
• Maintain accurate records and drive continual improvement of environmental processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience ensuring compliance with QHSE guidelines in a large‑scale infrastructure project.
• Ability to promote environmental awareness and allocate preventive resources.
• Experience conducting environmental audits and managing non‑conformance resolution.
• Knowledge of sustainability reporting is an asset.
