Engineering Project Manager – Manufacturing Projects

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead CAPEX projects within our manufacturing facilities in Brampton, Ontario. The role combines strong engineering fundamentals with disciplined project management to deliver technically sound solutions on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning, define scope, timelines, budgets and align objectives with business goals.
• Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes, systems and equipment, conducting feasibility and cost‑benefit analyses.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with codes, standards and company procedures.
• Identify risks early, create mitigation strategies and manage scope changes.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, procurement and other functions to support safe, reliable and productive operations.
• Coach and mentor team members and contractors, fostering accountability and continuous learning.
• Engage external vendors, review proposals, negotiate contracts and coordinate permits when required.
• Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Engineering degree, Mechanical engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering and project experience, preferably in food or process manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage CAPEX projects from concept to completion.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
