Packaging Technician II – Primary & Secondary Packaging

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking a Technician II to support component and bulk product supply to packaging lines. The role involves operating filling and packaging equipment safely while ensuring compliance with cGMP and SOP requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical setup, calibration, and adjustment of automated filling systems during product changeovers.
• Replace and maintain mechanical components such as O‑rings, valves, pumps, and nozzle assemblies.
• Conduct detailed mechanical troubleshooting on container closure, folding stations, and tube holders.
• Change embossing/coding blocks for labels and cartons according to work orders.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust fill weights to minimize overfill.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment including fillers, manifolds, tube holders, and supply pumps.
• Configure process parameters via HMI interfaces, manage recipes, and execute format changeovers.
• Assist mechanics with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Experience with mechanical setup and calibration of automated filling and packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of cGMP and SOP compliance in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues quickly.
