Emergency Medicine Specialist – Remote (up to $180/hr)

About the role

Mercor is seeking board‑certified Emergency Medicine physicians to help shape AI models that understand real‑world clinical scenarios. This fully remote contract position offers flexible hours and competitive hourly rates.

Key responsibilities

• Design clinically realistic prompts and scenarios covering triage, procedural sedation, and other emergency care situations.
• Write "golden" reference responses at attending‑level quality for each scenario.
• Grade AI‑generated answers using structured rubrics to ensure evidence‑based standards.
• Provide written feedback to the research team to improve model behavior and outputs.
• Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions for alignment.

Required profile

• Board‑certified attending physicians with a current, active, unrestricted medical license.
• Final‑year resident physicians or recent graduates who are board‑eligible.
• Fellows who are board‑certified or board‑eligible in a primary specialty with an active, unrestricted medical license.

Required skills

• Deep clinical expertise in Emergency Medicine.
• Ability to create detailed clinical prompts and reference responses.
• Familiarity with evidence‑based medical guidelines.
