Emergency Medicine Physician – North Island Hospital

About the role
The North Island Hospital Emergency Medicine department in Campbell River is seeking qualified Emergency Medicine Physicians to join a busy regional centre serving over 50,000 people. The position offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work in a supportive community on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency care to an average of 90 patients per day.
- Collaborate with local specialties including ICU, general surgery, anesthesia, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, plastic surgery and ENT.
- Participate in teaching activities for medical students and residents through the University of British Columbia Island Medical Program.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety.
Required profile
- Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality emergency care in a community hospital setting.
- Willingness to engage in teaching and mentorship of trainees.
