Emergency Medicine Physician – Kitimat, BC

About the role

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the coastal community of Kitimat, BC, providing emergency care in a single‑coverage ER supported by Ksyen Regional Hospital. The position offers flexible full‑time equivalents and the chance to complement emergency work with primary care, long‑term care, anesthesiology, or surgical assisting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency medical care to 20‑30 patients per day and approximately 10 patients per night.
• Collaborate with regional specialists and the nearby hospital for patient transfers and consultations.
• Optionally provide primary care, long‑term care, anesthesia services, or assist in surgeries as needed.
• Maintain compliance with provincial COVID‑19 vaccination orders.

Required profile

• Medical degree with licensure to practice in British Columbia.
• Experience in emergency medicine; new graduates are welcome.
• Willingness to work in a rural setting and adapt to flexible shift schedules.
• Commitment to community health and collaborative practice.
