Emergency Medicine Physician

About the role
Penticton Regional Hospital is expanding its Emergency Medicine group and seeks board‑certified physicians to join a collegial team of 18 emergency doctors. The position offers a vibrant clinical environment in a regional trauma referral centre serving over 90,000 residents.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality emergency care to an average of 41,000 annual visits.
- Collaborate with specialist services and ensure double physician coverage during peak hours.
- Interpret on‑site CT and MRI imaging as part of acute patient management.
- Participate in teaching activities for UBC Southern Medical Program students and family practice residents.
- Contribute to regional trauma response and support the hospital’s referral network.
Required profile
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Emergency Medicine or CCFP‑EM certification.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in British Columbia.
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and continuous learning.
