About the role

Join a collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. Our 24/7 emergency department sees roughly 22,000 visits annually, offering a broad spectrum of cases and procedural opportunities in a supportive rural setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast‑paced ED.
• Perform a variety of emergency procedures and manage diverse clinical presentations.
• Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, surgery, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and, if interested, leadership development through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 program.

Required profile

• Current CCFP, CCFP(EM) or FRCPC certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in Canada.
• Interest in rural practice, teaching, and professional development.
