Emergency Medicine Physician in Williams Lake, BC

About the role
Join the collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. You will work in a 24/7 emergency department that sees roughly 22,000 visits annually, providing a broad spectrum of acute care.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage emergency patients across all age groups.
- Perform a variety of emergency procedures and collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, surgery, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
- Teach and mentor medical students and residents through the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
- Participate in leadership development opportunities such as Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program.
Required profile
- Current CCFP, CCFP (EM), or FRCPC in Emergency Medicine.
- Eligibility to practice medicine in British Columbia.
- Emergency experience is an asset, but mentorship is available for new graduates and international medical graduates.
