Email Marketing Leader

About the role

AlgaeCal, a supplement company focused on bone health, is looking for an Email Marketing Leader in Toronto. The role builds personalized customer journeys across email, SMS, push and other owned channels to drive retention, loyalty and customer lifetime value, using platforms such as Braze, Klaviyo or SFMC.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage lifecycle automations and campaigns focused on retention, loyalty, reorder rate and customer lifetime value
• Improve personalization across email, SMS, push and other owned channels
• Use data and customer insights to build segmentation so the right message reaches the right audience
• Build, optimize and scale customer journeys in SFMC, Klaviyo or Braze, improving performance through testing and iteration
• Oversee marketing automation performance and help expand owned channels such as SMS and push
• Lead, coach and develop the team, setting a high standard for quality

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in email and database marketing or a related function
• 2+ years of people management, including coaching and leading team members
• Proven track record of developing, implementing and analyzing automated customer journeys
• Experience managing a small, cross-functional team
• Experience in the health or supplement space is an asset

Required skills

• Marketing automation platforms such as Braze, Klaviyo or SF Marketing Cloud (Braze certification strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with CRMs such as Salesforce
• Direct response marketing experience
• Familiarity with reward and subscription programs, loyalty flows and lead funnels
• Data-driven, analytical, with strong presentation and project management skills
