Product Marketing Discovery Trainee - ELDS

About the role

ABB's Discovery Program is a two-year rotational development program for recent graduates, giving them cross-functional exposure through several rotations. As a Product Marketing Discovery Trainee in Calgary, you will join the ELDS Product Marketing team and focus on product marketing initiatives, especially updating and developing Battle Cards for the Electrical Distribution Systems (ELDS) portfolio. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update Battle Cards for ELDS product lines, turning technical specifications into market messages
• Run competitive analysis to find market opportunities and positioning advantages
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather insights on customer needs and market trends
• Help create marketing materials that communicate ABB's value propositions
• Take part in campaign planning and execution, from backlog management to delivery
• Learn marketing analytics and campaign performance tracking
• Contribute to initiatives that improve product visibility and customer engagement
• Assist with market research and customer engagement activities

Required profile

• Recent graduate (2025-2027) with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, able to turn complex information into clear messages
• Strategic thinking and the ability to analyse data and market insights
• Motivation to learn and the capacity to support work across multiple teams and product lines
• Attention to detail and ability to manage several projects at once
• Collaborative approach, strong interpersonal skills and interest in technology, infrastructure solutions and the sustainable energy transition
