Educational Assistant (Term Contract)

About the role

La Crete Public School is seeking a full‑time Educational Assistant on a term‑specific contract. You will join a collaborative school team to support students in the divisional priorities of numeracy, literacy, connectivity and careers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom, individual and small‑group assistance to students as directed by school administration.
• Support students with complex learning needs within an inclusive education model.
• Assist with literacy and numeracy interventions, connectivity activities and career‑related projects.
• Collaborate confidentially with teachers, support staff and parents.

Required profile

• Grade 12 diploma.
• Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the Science of Reading, K‑9 mathematics and social‑emotional support strategies.
• Experience working with students in a school setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Understanding of literacy intervention techniques.
• Familiarity with K‑9 mathematics concepts.
• Competence in delivering social‑emotional supports.
