EDC Student Internships - General Stream (Winter 2027)

About the role

Export Development Canada (EDC) is recruiting early-career students for its 2027 Winter Semester internships. The pool covers teams in Commerce, Technology and Analytics, Finance, Communications, Marketing, Project Management, Human Resources and related fields. Only students currently enrolled in post-secondary studies who are available for a single 4-month term from January to April 2027 may apply; longer terms are not possible.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies in commerce, business, technology, analytics, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, project management, human resources or related fields.
• Previous work term experience related to their field of study.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated self-starter with good organizational and analytical skills, able to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of both official languages is an asset and may be required for some positions.
• Must be able to work legally in Canada at the time of application (citizen, permanent resident or work permit) and meet government security screening requirements.

What we offer

• Work terms of four months (January to April 2027); most roles are full-time with some flexibility for part-time work.
• Work can count toward an accredited co-op program.
• Salary of $42,900 to $48,750 depending on year of study ($22.00 to $25.00 per hour).
• Coaching and mentoring, and the chance to build professional networks across EDC hubs in Canada.
• Hybrid work model, with the option to work from Ottawa or from community hubs in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax or Vancouver.
