Early Learning Facilitator – Full‑Time Contract

About the role

Empower Simcoe is seeking a dedicated Early Learning Facilitator to join its EarlyON Child and Family Centre program on a full‑time contract basis. The role supports children aged 0‑6 and their families, delivering play‑based learning, parent education and developmental conversations in line with the “How Does Learning Happen?” framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily programming for EarlyON locations, ensuring a child- and family-centred approach.
• Facilitate parent workshops and educational sessions that align with provincial pedagogical guidelines.
• Conduct developmental conversations and use assessment tools to identify child and family strengths.
• Collaborate with community partners, school professionals and, as needed, support the Ontario Autism – Entry to School program.
• Maintain accurate records, adhere to the Child Care and Early Years Act, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Early Childhood Education diploma or degree recognized by the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing.
• Minimum two years’ experience working with families, young children and, preferably, children with ASD.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and judgement skills.
• Ability to apply Ministry of Education pedagogical practices and relevant legislation.
• Valid Class G driver’s licence and flexibility to work varied hours.
• Additional language skills (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Tamil or Urdu) are an asset.
