Drywall Installer – Skilled Tradesperson

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Drywall Installer to join our construction team in Brampton. The role involves installing and finishing drywall, plaster, and acoustic ceiling systems on a variety of job sites, often working at heights and in noisy, dusty environments.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs, including suspended metal ceiling grids.
• Apply successive coats of joint compound, sand seams, tape joints with a taping machine and finish corners with metal corner beads.
• Mix plaster to the correct consistency, mould ornamental panels, cornices and trim, and apply stucco or texture finishes.
• Install acoustic tiles, vapour barriers, thermal and sound insulation, and secure steel or gypsum studs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, and use laser alignment systems for precise layout.
• Erect and work from scaffolding, swing stages or falsework, handling loads up to 45 kg.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in drywall, plaster or ceiling installation.
• Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, and in physically demanding conditions.
• Dependable, reliable team player able to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Operation of laser alignment systems.
• Use of hand and power tools, including taping machines.
