Director, Real Estate Investments (Remote)

About the role

The organization is a national, public‑interest focused entity seeking a seasoned investment professional to lead and oversee real‑estate investments that strengthen housing outcomes across Canada. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Director will manage the full investment lifecycle, from evaluation to execution and ongoing oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and structure complex real‑estate investment opportunities aligned with community benefit goals.
• Lead negotiations and transactions with a diverse set of partners and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a high‑performing investment platform for impactful housing deals.
• Balance financial discipline, risk management, and long‑term community impact in investment decisions.
• Provide strategic guidance and oversight throughout the investment lifecycle.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in real‑estate investment, commercial lending, real‑estate finance, or private capital.
• Strong analytical capabilities and sound investment judgment.
• Proven ability to navigate complex transactions and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with partners in both English and French.
• Comfortable working under pressure and in ambiguous environments.
