Director, Pharmacy

About the role

The Pharmacy Director will lead pharmacy services across Brant Community Healthcare System’s two hospital sites in Brantford and Paris, Ontario. Reporting to senior hospital leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, high‑quality medication management and aligning pharmacy operations with the system’s strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, clinical services, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement policies that support patient‑first, people‑centred, partnership‑based, and progress‑focused care.
• Lead a multidisciplinary pharmacy team, fostering a culture of excellence, equity, and trust.
• Manage the pharmacy budget, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to integrate pharmacy services into broader patient‑care pathways.

Required profile

• PharmD or equivalent degree with a valid pharmacy licence in Ontario.
• Significant experience in pharmacy leadership within a hospital or health‑system setting.
• Proven ability to drive quality improvement, safety initiatives, and operational efficiency.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
