Director, Partnership Portfolio

About the role

The Director, Partnership Portfolio will lead the sourcing, underwriting, execution and monitoring of credit‑related investments and adjacent alternative asset classes for BCI’s Global Partnership Fund. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will work with a team of over 12 investment professionals managing commitments of approximately C$23 billion.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and originate credit investment opportunities, including fund commitments, co‑investments and direct transactions.
• Conduct rigorous credit underwriting and structuring analysis across the capital structure.
• Execute transactions and oversee ongoing portfolio monitoring and management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, fund managers and co‑investors.
• Lead, mentor and coach junior investment team members.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of credit investing experience in private credit, direct lending, structured or asset‑backed credit, distressed situations or leveraged finance.
• Demonstrated expertise in credit underwriting, transaction structuring and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical rigor and ability to assess risk and return.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
