Director of Product – FinTech Automotive Lending

About the role

TRADER is seeking a Director of Product to shape the strategy and evolution of its fintech platforms that power automotive lending across Canada. Reporting to the VP of Product, Fintech, you will own the vision for key product areas and lead a team of Product Managers to deliver high‑impact solutions for lenders and dealers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes for the fintech portfolio.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers, fostering strong product judgment.
• Collaborate with financial institutions to capture evolving needs and ensure platform relevance.
• Drive cross‑functional execution with engineering, design, data, and commercial teams.
• Establish product practices, decision frameworks, and operating rhythms to improve delivery efficiency.
• Track and report on product performance, ensuring investments generate meaningful value.

Required profile

• 8+ years of product management experience, including leadership of Product Managers.
• Proven track record of owning product vision, strategy, and outcomes for complex platforms.
• Experience working closely with enterprise customers or partners to shape product direction.
• Ability to navigate complex systems with multiple stakeholders, integrations, and workflows.
• Background in product‑led technology organizations, preferably within fintech or automotive finance.
