Director of People & Culture

About the role

The school is seeking a Director of People & Culture to lead strategic and operational HR functions for a values‑driven K‑12 community. This senior position sits at the leadership table and partners closely with senior executives to shape workforce strategy, culture, and employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic HR plans aligned with the school’s mission and growth objectives.
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, accommodations, and disability management.
• Lead talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
• Design and manage compensation philosophy, total rewards, and benefits programs.
• Coach leaders on performance management, leadership development, and change initiatives.
• Integrate equity, inclusion, and belonging into all people practices.
• Drive organizational development and change‑management projects.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in employee relations and employment law.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive cultural change.
• CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
• Experience in education or highly relational environments is an asset.
