Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Wagepoint is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage full‑cycle recruitment for technical and non‑technical positions across Canada. This is a 6‑month temporary full‑time contract, reporting to the Talent Acquisition Team Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end recruitment for 4–6 roles simultaneously, from intake to offer.
• Lead intake meetings to define skill requirements, interview plans, compensation ranges and timelines.
• Source active and passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, communities and events.
• Design and coordinate structured, competency‑based interview processes, including assessments.
• Prepare and extend offers, manage negotiations and ensure a respectful candidate experience.
• Maintain accurate ATS data, share pipeline updates and recruitment metrics.
• Ensure hiring practices comply with Canadian employment standards, human rights, accessibility, pay transparency and privacy (PIPEDA).

Required profile

• 2–3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in‑house supporting tech or SaaS hiring.
• Degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong sourcing skills and ability to build diverse pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, candidate‑centric mindset.

Required skills

• LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Teamtailor, Greenhouse, Lever).
• Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for sourcing and outreach.
• Knowledge of Canadian employment standards, human rights, accessibility, pay transparency and PIPEDA.
