Director of Operations & Service

About the role

As the Director of Operations & Service for Bosch Building Technologies North America, you will lead the Operations & Service Departments of the Vancouver branch. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, you will be fully accountable for financial performance, service quality, and client satisfaction while supporting a skilled workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, develop, coach, evaluate and discipline Operations & Service personnel in line with company policies.
• Set short‑ and long‑range departmental goals that align with corporate objectives.
• Drive service performance by influencing revenue growth, margin improvement, service agreement execution and operational efficiency.
• Monitor installations to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery and adjust staffing levels as needed.
• Maintain fiscal responsibility for the branch, analyze budget variances and implement corrective actions.
• Provide data‑driven forecasting on labor capacity, demand, growth opportunities and operational risks.
• Support a diverse team of managers, sales staff, technicians and support personnel.
• Promote a service‑first culture and champion operational excellence across the branch.
• Evaluate, implement and optimise tools, processes, service playbooks and domain‑specific standards.
• Ensure accurate project information is stored in shared systems.
• Collaborate with sales leadership on multi‑discipline sales and execution strategies.
• Lead warehouse operations to meet safety, quality, delivery and budget targets.
• Maintain client communications, monitor satisfaction and resolve complaints.

Required profile

• Full financial accountability for Operations & Service business results.
• Proven ability to develop and execute short‑ and long‑term departmental strategies.
• Experience supervising and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
