Digital Assurance & Transparency Senior Associate

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Digital Assurance & Transparency Senior Associate in its External Audit Process Assurance practice in Vancouver. The role helps clients optimize control activities, organizational strategy and policies and procedures, and improves internal controls and confidence in the quality of information produced by internal systems. It focuses on the design, documentation and operation of controls around the financial reporting process, including financial business process and IT management controls.

Key responsibilities

• Provide certification services, including assessment of technology risks using control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT
• Take part in IT control audits, testing of automated and manual business process controls, IT-focused internal audits, SOC audits, ISO 27001 certification and general IT security projects
• Complete the work in line with deadlines and budgetary requirements set in the planning phase
• Advise clients on operational controls and process improvement
• Document audit evidence clearly and concisely and validate its relevance and quality
• Analyse control deficiencies found during the audit and their impact on financial data and the overall audit strategy
• Maintain collaborative relationships with PwC teams and external clients

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or a business-related field
• Working towards a designation such as CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, CIA, CGAP, CISA, CISM or CISSP
• Proven ability to document processes and controls and to develop and run testing programs
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IT practices, standards, infrastructure-related risks and controls, and IT control frameworks
• Knowledge of security and IT controls

The salary range is $65,600 - $109,300, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also take part in variable incentive pay programs. The position follows the departure of a valued team member.
