DevOps Engineer – Hybrid, Toronto

About the role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Toronto team in a hybrid capacity (three days on‑site). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure and automation solutions that support our fast‑moving development pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Linux servers and ensure high availability of services.
• Develop, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management.
• Manage PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning and backups.
• Build and monitor CI/CD pipelines, integrating tools such as Harness.io or uDeploy.
• Implement security best practices across all layers of the infrastructure.
• Configure and support networking components including VPNs, load balancers, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Set up observability stacks using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Mimir, and Loki.
• Containerize applications with Docker, orchestrate them with Kubernetes, and work with service‑mesh technologies.

Required profile

• Strong Linux administration experience.
• Hands‑on expertise with Ansible and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Familiarity with SDLC, release management, and ServiceNow workflows.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and service‑mesh architectures.
