Development Coordinator – Canadian Originals

About the role

Amazon Studios is looking for a Development Coordinator to support the Canadian Originals team in Toronto. You will help move projects smoothly through the development pipeline while collaborating with internal teams and external creative partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules, meetings and creative calls with producers and development staff.
• Manage the flow of information from pitch through development, production and post‑production.
• Act as a liaison between the Canadian development team and other Amazon Studios departments such as Production, Legal and Marketing.
• Review pitch materials, write coverage and provide creative recommendations for green‑light decisions.
• Research and source emerging Canadian talent to build a diverse creative pipeline.
• Create and maintain weekly development reports and internal tracking documents.
• Monitor industry trends, writers and directors relevant to the team’s strategy.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a studio or production company assistant role.
• Experience assessing industry talent and trends.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong calendar management, event planning and travel coordination skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and knowledge of end‑to‑end content creation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
