About the role

MDPI Open Access Publishing Canada Ltd. is looking for an Editorial Chief to lead editorial operations in North York, Ontario. The role involves shaping editorial policies, managing production schedules, and guiding a team of staff and volunteers.

Key responsibilities

Establish procedures and implement policies for newspaper and publishing activities.
Plan, monitor and maintain production schedules from idea generation to publication.
Recruit, hire, supervise and develop editorial staff and volunteers.
Liaise with authors, composers, producers and directors to ensure content quality.
Oversee the entire editorial production process, ensuring timely delivery.

Required profile

Excellent oral communication skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities.

Required skills

Proficiency in MS Excel.
Proficiency in MS Outlook.
Proficiency in MS PowerPoint.
Proficiency in MS Word.
