Desktop Support Technician (On‑site, Saskatoon)

About the role

RedARX Cyber Group is seeking an on‑site Desktop Support Technician to join its Saskatoon office. The role focuses on delivering prompt, professional technical assistance for desktops, laptops and peripherals, ensuring a secure and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑line support for desktop computers, laptops and related peripherals.
• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain hardware and software.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware failures and software issues, including component replacement.
• Set up, configure and troubleshoot networked printers.
• Manage support tickets, document solutions and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Communicate professionally with internal users and collaborate with IT and security teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting desktop computers in a Windows or mixed‑OS environment.
• Hands‑on printer installation, network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Practical computer repair skills, including hardware diagnostics and component replacement.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a patient, user‑friendly approach.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast‑paced setting.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity and safe computing practices.
• Relevant post‑secondary IT education or equivalent experience; certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
