Data & Reporting Analyst - SQL (Power BI and Tableau)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Data & Reporting Analyst to join our analytics team in Toronto. The role focuses on building scalable reporting solutions using SQL, Power BI and Tableau to support data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Write complex, optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources; improve performance and create reusable stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI, delivering user‑friendly self‑service analytics.
• Create semantic layers and logical data models to ensure consistent reporting and data integrity.
• Support database and reporting migration projects, validating data accuracy and minimizing disruption.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, leadership, and engineering teams.
• Maintain data quality, governance standards, and documentation across reporting assets.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with advanced SQL and query optimization.
• Proven ability to build dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Good understanding of semantic layer design and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with stored procedures, functions, and reusable SQL frameworks.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data‑warehousing principles.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
