Data Entry Clerk – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Data Entry Clerk to join Toronto Community Housing’s Finance – Accounts Payable division. The role supports invoice processing and financial reporting, contributing to the organization’s mission of providing quality homes.

Key responsibilities

• Sort and distribute incoming invoices and enter them into the HoMES/Yardi financial system.
• Review source documents for completeness, identify errors such as missing HST numbers or order numbers, and flag them to the supervisor.
• Run and verify financial reports, compare totals to control tapes, and correct data as needed.
• Maintain filing systems, fax, photocopy, and mail invoices and batch reports.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of best practices for processing financial data.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a heavy workload while meeting deadlines.
• Effective written and oral communication to report errors and interact with staff.
